Well, what do you want to do, go or show? I don't really know what's all out there for the SVTF, but I do know that there are Under Drive Pullies for it.

Ash is right are you looking for go or show? I went with go first, my first buy was the Borla exhaust and ORP. I like the looks of the SVTF, so I dont believe I will go with show any at all. (But that is just me) You could always start out with some of the less expensive performance parts.....CAI, Coil, plugs and wires, UDP. It is all accourding to what you want to do first...

You could think about some tires, the stock Cont. on the SVTF are....well...not that great.

Just a thought..

If you have the stock tires, you'll want to buy some winter tires. If you get any snow at all, those conti's will get you now where fast.

The first thing I bought for my SVT was AEM short ram intake. Its pretty cheap and makes your car sound so much better. A throttle body would be a good investment too, it will liven up the throttle response.

Euro is right, I've not heard of a SVT Kit being available yet from HKS, but you should contact them just to verify and make sure. Exhaust and CAI are great first mods, but it is all according to what you want first.
Since you live in Ohio, snow is a issue, have you drove in the snow yet with the Stock Cont. Tires? bfocused is right if you had any problems you may want to consider some winter tires.

Let us all know what you decided to go with, [thumb]

What's wrong with the Conti's?? BMW and others who have a reputation to uphold (famous for good-handling cars) choose them as standard equipment. If you mean other than dry-weather, then well... yeah, they probably do suck. I wouldn't know. [;)]

You are right, I was referring to the other weather elements.
Dry, they are fine. Wear is a factor also, I've not got good wear out of mine. Of course that may be because of my driving....[}:)] I'm a track girl, so I was dissappointed with the grip also. But I'm sure they are not made for the track......[:D]

I live in the South, dont see much snow, if any here. One of the biggest complaint I've heard about the Stock Cont. on the SVTF is how bad they are in the snow. Not just on here, but on other Forums as well. I'm like you I wouldn't know on that one.

LOL....besides you live in Cali. c'mon now Mr. Perfect weather almost all year long... must be nice.....[;)] JK

[hihi] Well, if it makes you feel any better, it's raining here today. I have noticed the car feels a little less glued to the road when in the rain. But that's a compromise you have to make when you want a high-performance tire for the 9 months out of the year it doesn't rain...

I would def go with the HKS if it does fit the SVT. I would call them and ask if it will work, or if they have a kit that works with minor adjustments. You can reach them directly at
(310) 491 3300
M thru F 8am-5pm PST
or check the web site at http://www.HKSusa.com, but calling is the better option. Exhaust would help the SVT alot for a first basic mod

Yea, I feel a little better....[:D] The Cont. are not that bad, just not the best tire for the SVTF. My opinion..[;)] I like a lot of grip, stick it to the road and go....this is why I'm having to buy new tires soon...[}:)]

No rain here today, cold as he** though. But cold to me is 50 degrees, you see down here in the south "ya'll" we dont get them Ice level temps but at night maybe....[:D]

Euro, is you Focus lowered?

SVT4U2NV have you decided with what you are going with first?

Full suspension. Springs, Dampeners, sway bars, & the like. That would be sick.
Some guy here claimed a 14.9 qm with an off-road pipe alone. This would be the best acceleration mod.
