Thanks to a fantastic deal by Algorhythm, i am now the proud Owner of Mach-a-Like Headlights. Today, the driver-side light arrived in the mail.

While i was trying to work out what wires went where, i noticed that the plastic shell was just about loose, a few quick seconds with an exacto, and the whole thing popped apart.

Anyhow, my original idea was just to re-caulk the edge and get a better seal, but im debating while im here to repaint the chrome parts black.

My car is CD Silver and im working on slowly getting subtle black highlights around the car to spoof up the appearance some. Im not a big fan of chrome, and as such, the only part of my car that is chrome is the stock exhaust tip and "SVT" badge. So im really leaning towards painting out the headlights.. Except that i hear black headlights on a silver car looks odd.

So what do you all think i should do?

Also, what do you recommend i use to glue the headlight assembly back together?

I would use a 5 minute epoxy to glue the headlights back together, and then seal everything with 100% Silicone.
