I just purchased a 2006 ZX4 SES and I am wondering if I have a SPI, Duratec, or a Zetec engine. My vin is 1FAHP34N06217713. Usually there is a sticker under the hood that will tell you, but I cannot find one. Thanks in advance.

It is a duratec.

Check your valve cover for confirmation.

You have a Duratec. PS, your Vin should be 17 characters long, you are missing a digit.

They didn't even offer Zetecs or SPI engines after 2004, did they? Everything is a Duratec from 2005 on...

As for Your VIN, it appears that the build location code(example: W=Wayne, MI plant. Mine being "07W"), position 11, is the one that is missing
