ok first off.. its a 2000 ford focus 2.0L DOHC engine.

i cannot for the life of me figure out that this part is.. or what it does. nether can three parts stores.... grrrr

its highlighted in photo.. this rubber tube comes of back of engine goes up to back of valve cover and sticks on to a plastic valve. it twists in by hand and it looks like a pcv valve but its all plastic. black and orange plastic and it rattles when shook, very much like pcv valve.. Went to auto store got a pcv valve.. doesnt look a thing like whats in there... HELP!?!?!?!? Suggestions??

well its not a pcv valve i have ever seen... all the replacement parts push in and this one that came out is threaded. half twist to get in...... this is not making sense to me..

I don't know why... its a weird design but it works. yup I don't need to confirm it that's what it is... used to have that engine before I pulled it out. lol.

and no problem... hopefully there's no trouble this time :).

found this online

the part that is in there orginally is twisted in just like this says.
this is the orginal:

the part that i get form all three auto stores.. autozone, o reillys, and advance auto all same shiny metal push in kind. no twist and it wont fit in hole....do i just push it in tight??? or what?

no you will need to return that. zetec and spi pcv valves are entirely different.

here's what you want it to look like.

edit: that was weird it wouldn't let me post that pic.

nope actually Rockauto.com has them (good parts site) there is also a 5% discount code under their vendors section.

this is not the link but one to show you what you need. it's about $5-7

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=383099

you can also go there and just do the part number search. part number is EV262
