what is the max size of tire i can put on the stock rim. i think now it is way to high of a profile. also considering gettting 15x7 or so rims... 225/50/15 does seem good

225 MAX, and in my opinion, 215 should be MAX. I've seen a focus with 225's on it, they look too wide. You can get away with it though with the PROPER OFFSET on the rims.

Why 15" rims? Those are damn small. If your going aftermarket, why not go with 17" like 95% of the people do? Just curious.....

True..... just was assuming.....

Are you planning any drop in the vehicle's height also? If so, I'd seriously stay away from 225........

I'm dropping with the H&R race springs also and am looking into 225/50/15 as well, overall diameter is almost the same as my current 215/40/17's but a little wider. gonna have to check into offsets, the problem with running 17's on track is the available sizes, most "R" compounds in 17's are too big for our cars with a decent drop .

I am running 225/45/17....the wide stance is very aggressive and handles really well.
