Ok, I'm thinking about getting a header, but I need to know which one I need first.

2002 ZX3
and I need to keep my cat for emission reasons (I don't want/need a ship right meow)

So, can anyone help me out here....

Will this one work?

yes, that will bolt up to your stock cat. But on ebay they sell OBX shorty header and high flow cat combos. that would prolly be your best bet because its alittle larger in diameter.

yea...the best way to go is to do a shorty header and a high flow cat at the same time.

The OBX setup doesn't come with a hi-flow, its an ORP with a resonator that looks like a cat. I have that setup...

Is this the shorty header + high flow cat combo?

Nope, that's the ORP that has the resonator to LOOK like a cat to pass a visual inspection (although, you can smell the uncatalysed exhaust from a mile away).

My OBX had a better finish... still stainless, but the welds and flanges were clean.

I have my MBRP, which is generally considered one of the loudest.... and with no cat, and the FC flex, its IS LOUD. I like it that way, though... all a matter of personal preference. Pretty raspy, lots of popping on decelleration.

I must warn you DO NOT GET THIS HEADER!!!!(OBX "racing" header) I have this one rigged up with my stock cat, and I had it for about 4 weeks and it cracked on me. Now I have a exhaust leak, and my check engine light is always on due to the crack. I had someone weld it and he would weld it, then it would crack somewhere else. I have hear that this header is made out of the same material as the Focus Centeral 4-2-1 racing header, I sure hope not, because it is made out of low grade metal.

dont waste your money on the shorty, the gains arent worth it, get the svt with a svt cat or a highflow and do it right.
