I'm against the offroad pipe because:

1.) It's illegal
2.) It's not very good for the environment
3.) Performance gains are minimal plus there might even be a slight loss of torque with it.

Complete B.S.

I gained plenty when I added mine, with the only loss being 1 LB/Ft of torque.
It is illegal, but there are worse things a person could do.

Not completely....what do you call "plenty"? I've never had experience with one but I'd be willing to bet that on a stock svtf and a normal driver, you wouldn't notice anything with it. You can't get big gains from freeing up the exhaust a little on a 4-banger.

A guy with very similar mods to mine had an ORP and I have an R/T Cat and we dyno'd almost the same HP, but he was about 8TQ off of mine. Granted our engines are quirky, some have more HP than others, some have more TQ than others, but I dunno. I don't like ORP but I don't hate you if you run one either. It's your choice.

To Answer the question the post is about, Yeah it is a pretty good pipe, It will be loud, and won't pass smog. But thats about it. You will gain more power out of it, don't let anyone bullshit you on that. It is not a huge gain but it is there...... believe it.

I had Midas install a second resonator on my exhaust after I installed my ORP. It quieted things back down to almost stock. There is a definite power increase, especially in the upper rpm range. Nate.

Yes, removing your cat and putting a ORP in it's place is a Federal Offence and can carry very steep fines if you are caught. Also, I have read plenty of posts stating it sounds like crap with the factory exhaust.

Thats the "standard" ORP that everyone has.

Yes it is illegal to use it... but if you can live with that go ahead.... I run an ORP myself and I think its a great mod... especially with the turbo.

You will see around 10whp and 8wtq gain, it will be louder but you can tell a difference.

Personally... I see nothing wrong with running an ORP
