Just curious what people have paid to have their timing belt replaced by a shop?

My SVT is at 72K, and I am going to have it done soon, and wanting to know
what kind of outlay I am looking at.

Let me know if it was at a dealer or an independent shop, and what other parts you had replaced at the same time

Oh, yeah and where are you located, as prices seen to vary geographically.

I haven't had it done yet but I was quoted ~$800-$900 for the parts & labor, plus the water pump and fluids associated. This was from the local Ford dealer.

got 'er done

payed $550 for belts, water pump, idler pulley (t-belt), labor.

I think that's pretty fair... considering dealer price, AND some independants.
Could have maybe saved a few more bucks if I internetted the parts, but my timing was off...
