1988 Taurus 250,000 miles, 1996 Taurus (brother has it now with 298,000 miles on it), 1989 1/2 Ford Escort LX Station Wagon, 1979 F-150 6in suspension 400sb 35x12.5 BF MT's, then got the 02 SVTF, then sold the F-150 and bought a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, traded the GC for a 1979 Bronco with a 351, headers, 4in lift, 35's and a sweet retro paint job, then traded the Jeep GC for a Jeep YJ then sold the YJ and now have a 04 GMC
Z71 along with the Focus.
That's right... bought it new, sold it a year and a half later after buying my SVT that was 2 years older but had 16k fewer miles. I didn't want either to be red, especially, but I can't deny the sexiness. And obviously, I couldn't put up with an under-powered automatic that would drop into all kinds of funny gears when I didn't want it to. Grapevine in 6th gear? No problem...
well at first i had a 85 Dodge Aries with a 2.0 that i trick out and trade that in for a 94 Ford Taurus GL with a 3.8, gave that to my mom and got my 2005 ZX5 Focus and sorry i dont have a SVT but wanted to share with you guys my old cars.
from this you see it wakes up at around 2500-3000 rpm. I had no catalytic convertors so that is partially why.
the first one is a video as well as the last picture in my other post.
I was driving an orange 2000 200SX before my SVT. I heard "jellybean" plenty of times. It handled ok, to a point. If the SVT has that point, I haven't found it.

Maybe that's part of it, or the Escape is heavier or geared differently. The Escape's fun zone was definitely from 4400 until it shifted in the high 5's-6k. Either way, the Duratec 3.0's a nice engine, I always enjoyed it.
A super awesome red 2001 Oldsmobile Silouette. It did have some cool features though like the automatic sliding doors and an entertainment system, both of which unheard of in minivans at the time, and the seats folded all the way back ; )
i have some vibrations/oscillations only between 20- 35 mph in my focus SVT and that too only when acceleraing (maybe also decelerating).
I have a feeling its the motor mounts.
Took some pics of the upper mounts see here - the passenger side hydraulic one has a bulge which seems to move...
Hey guys has anyone ever had the issue of crank no start but wants to when it's cold (with a strong smell of fuel)? New plugs wires and coil. If I really try it will fire up and after a few seconds of rough idle its sounds fine and will fire up every time after until the engine completely chills...
I decided to make a risky purchase and bought a cheap clutch kit on eBay for my focus SVT. Instead of that brand, I received a luk brand kit. How can I tell if it even fits my car?
