Been tracking and autocrossing car for last couple of years. Converting over to NASA st6. I have been running hawk hps pads with good results but only usually run 20-30 min sessions. What are you guys running for an affordable pad to not get heat soaked in 45-60 min sprints?
Not familiar with that class in nasa, with that said, what type of tracks will you be running, what is the weight of your car, can you provide brake ducting to the rotors. On my IT car not allowed any real brake mods, so we have been using hawk blue, very happy with them, yes it’s an old compound, and it does eat up rotors but brakes are usable disposable. On the Stl car which is lighter but we are allowed mods we run the hawk dtc 70 pads. Again the rotors show the abuse but the pads do what they are suppose to do, good pedal modulation, allows me to run a brake bias control and better pads in the rear.
I have used the 9012 blues before on my champcar endurance 240sx. I loved them in that car. Mods are open in the class I am going to run though so maybe I should go ahead to the dtc. Are you running cyro treated rotors? I had very good luck with frozen rotors. I run a raybestos st43 on my 240 now but not sure how those compare to the dtc.
