Hey guys and gals, I have a quick question. Why is it that when I takeoff, and get to about 6500rpms and shift from first to second, drop the clutch, put my foot to the floor again, and get almost like....a slip or something. The car jerks a little bit and if the cd player is on, its enough to make it skip. What could I be doing wrong? Am I trying to shift to agressivly? Should I let the rpms come down or something?

Any help would be awesome!

BTW, its a 2003 2.3l 5-speed ZX3

dont just put the gas pedal to the floor when you pop second kinda roll on it as your clutch is being released but quickly. hard to explain with out showing. then you can do second gear burnouts..my favorite.

What do you mean second gear burnouts? squeeling the tires to second? I just let the clutch out a little bit slow not to pop the clutch, that way gives my tires time to catch and go, but a little bit faster than it sounds. Just go practice different ways on a empty street.
