Hello everyone, my name is Chris. I own a 2017 ford focus SE hatchback, with a 2.0 iL4 DOHC 16V (Duratec HE) 6-speed dual clutch transmission. I recently replaced the Canister Purge Valve, as of February, 25th 2021. It is also gray. I found this forum by a Google search, I have to write a topic process essay for my English class and I thought I write about converting my SE to a mk1 or mk2 St.

I want to go from this (SE) to this (ST).

I have always been into fords, the car I am working on is 2010 focus. It was my brothers who passed away in December. He has a son who just got his learners so I am getting this baby back into shape for him to have as his first car. Got new plugs, new oil, all new filters. Going to flush the radiator this week, due to fact I am getting couple codes from check engine light. Hct sensor and temperature not coming up. So will be changing those sensors and probably doing little brake work a s suspension to her. I found this doing a search on one of the codes the engine is throwing. Been reading around great site.

I'm sure your hard work will be appreciated by your nephew. There's a lot of good info here, just get familiar with the search bar. Hey Y'all,
I just bought my 2016 Ford Focus SE Hatch this weekend and am waiting on the dealer to finish cleaning/inspection so I can hopefully pick it up soon. I'm so excited. Looking forward to many years with my new "rollerskate" lol. My dad had the 2015 with the 3cyl and a 6 spd stick and I loved it too so I know this will be lots of fun to drive.

My first projects will be to see if I am able to do heated mirror/seat upgrades. It already has power everything with leather so am hoping it won't be too much trouble.

Hello everyone. Just got my 4th Ford vehicle and first Focus this past Friday, a 2008 with the SE trim package. So far it's all stock, except for the rims. One of these days I'll get around to taking care of the cosmetic issues on the paint. Even then, it's still

a blast to drive.

I have a 2015 Ford Focus SE, bought it back in late 2017 with 17,800 miles on it. As of now it has 141,000 on it with no leakage/seepage anywhere on the car both under the hood and under the car. I’ve done a lot to it since the old pic of it below just havnt had time to take a new pic that looks good of it yet. I’d post everything I’ve done to it, but I’m sure this isn’t the correct thread for that.

My Story: I am a Fully Certified Ford Technician trained by FoMoCo. Worked on just about every Ford model out there from the early 2000s to 2021s. My dealer bought this baby for me off auction and got it cheap with my discount. I drove 32 minutes to work and then back home the same amount and just needed something good for gas, but since then I’ve come to enjoy it and have done a lot to it.

If Admins need verification for that I can provide it.

P.S. this baby has only had one set of clutches put in it by yours truly.

Hi! I’m new to this stuff. I just bought my son a 2010 focus SES. So far we got the cold air intake, performance Delphi MAF sensor, SCT X4 tuner, underdrive pulley. I have the valve cover gasket ordered because (surprise) it’s leaking. 145k miles on it and it’s actually in great shape. Some of the small cover panels are either missing or broken and the buttons on the steering wheel are wearing off. We’ve definitely added some pep. I changed the dry temp sensor on the valve cover already and have the plugs on order with the cover gasket. I’ve had fun working on it so far with him, it’s been worth dumping money into as it’s the first time I’ve seen him take pride in something and these motors are so basic, they go together like legos compared to others I’ve played with. Duratec 2.0 is a cute little engine. I also had new tires put on it, had the front bearings and brakes changed, replaced the motor mount that apparently always goes bad. I plan on doing a cat back stealth exhaust from FSWerks as well.

I would start by cleaning the maf and the throttle body and the iac. Then I would replace all of your vacuum lines. Save your elbows and use the Dorman vacuum fitting box and some small rubber vacuum line.

im a point and plugs guy learned arft mech. piston pushers , mags. i do know trons radar tech navy. havent dove into autos yet. stop learnin start dying.
