so. i got a duratec engine torn apart boxed up and in my garage and its doing me no good i had new aftermarket cams but sold them ..
and i seen the 2.3 kit for svts on focuspower and it popped in to my head...[deviltail]
so i was thinking to take them pistons and bore out my svt block or pick up a spare and put the 2.3 pistons in there

does n e one know if this could be done..
or if it would be worth it

It can be done from other things I have read on here. I don't know anything other than that. go to engine swap I think there are a few threads there somewhere but I can't remember.

Moved to Engine Swap...

You'll need to check several things before just slapping the 2.3 pistons on the 2.0 SVTF rods...
1) Piston pin diameter.
2) Piston pin height.
3) Relation of rings to piston pin and top of piston
4) Piston deck height.
5) Piston dish and/or valve relief CC's.
^^^ If the dish or valve reliefs are smaller, your compression will go up.
If larger, compression goes down.

I don't think it's a direct swap by any means.

Dude, get the Focus-Power 2.6 stroker. give Tom your 2.3D and he'll do wonders for ya. Then stick into a SVT chassie and turbo that sucker! Something I wish I would of waited on [:D]
