Guys I have an 08 focus and I want to completely remove the doors from
the body so that I can drill holes in both the door and the door jams of
the body. The reason im doing this is because Ford chose to use quick
disconnects for their wiring instead of the traditional wire loom conduct
that auto makers have always used. I am needing to run fresh speaker
wire for custom speakers in doors and obviously cant get them there the
way things are. I am wondering what problems I might face particularly
getting them back on. I am worried about gaps and clearance issues of
my doors opening and closing. Thanks

it will be hard to get the doors back on and lined up with the body lines. if you really need to drill holes, on the body do it from the inside, just remove the kick panells. drilling into the door can be done at an angle.

i know the 00-04 has holes already with some rubber plugs in them.
