A hard acceleration. Car was hydrolocked, dealership put a motor in it, now in the lower gears, it has a slight shimmy vibration only under wot accel. Not a cruise or normal accel. Can an alignment do this? I already need to take it back, the tranny is sloppy and doesnt engage into 2nd like it should, very very soft and spongy feeling, dont want to nitpick, but both of those problems werent there before they did the engine swap.

2004 2.3 mtx

I have had a couple of people drive it, no one has any idea, its very strange.

This may sound stupid and I can't really explain why but,
loosen the motor mount and the trans mount (I think a Dtec is similar to the Z-tec in mount design) and push the engine as far back as you can and to the drivers side as far as you can.
With mine, zetec though and poly mounts, I found that doing the above gave me the least amount of interior vibrations, rattles, etc. Like I said, don't know why though.

This is a long shot but was like everything balanced? Maybe under those high RPMs things start to shake too much....
