Hey my under carriage totally fell out its been dragging the ground for about a month I just had it removed cause it's very loud and looks unattractive.. My question is will it cause damage if I dnt get it replaced right away??? What is the purpose of this part I fell it vital or it wouldn't be on the car

Under tray for the engine compartment might describe it better, undercarriage makes us think of the suspension & wheels.

That felt like plastic is an aero addition primarily, it's not vital to operation.

Small MPG benefit on the hwy, one downside is that IF you develop a drip from anywhere you won't see it on the ground as fast to catch it early.

Did I guess right?

Adapted the title for anyone else searching for this.

IMHO most will end up without them eventually, not enough pluses for most to pay for replacement once damaged.
