Okay so I have never done this before and but I am trying to replace the power steering pump in my focus ('02 zx3, w/ ZETEC). The first thing my Haynes manaul said to do was to rotate the tensioner clockwise so I could remove the belt. So I see the tensioner pulley (from underneath the car), and I have turned the bolt at the center of that pulley till it is almost out yet there is no additional slack on the belt, Im guessing Im missing something or am doing something wrong. Anyone got any input?

Just to make sure you are at the correct pulley -> http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43557

The bolt does not have to be removed, and shouldn't be removed. All it is is a way to easily rotate the whole pulley to take tension off the belt.
Turn it back in and get it nice and snug and try again.

Okay so I verified that I was at the right pulley. So I am supposed to turn the whole pulley (after I retighten the bolt fo course), what would be the suggested way to do this as it did not seem to want to budge earlier.
