The turn signal deactivator has broken on my car 3 times. [?|] The first time the car was still under warranty. I replaced the assembly that is under the airbag once, and just the other day it broke again! For those of you that don't know, there is a little plastic tab that runs past a little tab on your turn-signal arm. The little tab that is on an assembly under the air-bag in the steering wheel breaks off. It seems to break off when it is cold.

I could go buy the part again ($65) but has anyone else had this problem and come up with a better fix?

I drive a 2001 ZX3 S2, and mine has broken twice. I replaced it once, under warranty. The second time I found the little tab on the floor board and tried to see how I could get it glued back in there, no luck!
I haven't fixed the second time. I just manually turn off the turn signal now. It has gotten to be a habit now, like changing gears. []

Good Luck in trying to find a fix!

I drive 2001 wagon/estate.
It broke during warranty and was fixed once.
It hasnt broken since!
