How much it cost to turbo a ZX3? i see kits but than you need a bunch more stuff. trying to see what i need and how much its going to end up costing. I need to make some power to beat my buddies cobalt 4 door. I'm stock with intake only. My car is automatic, have people installed turbo on there automatic focus? any videos?

How much power to you want to run. I know you want to beat your buddy but give me a number and then we can talk about how much your auto can take. A built tranny can get very expensive, but I think Tom has one he can sell!

the kit will include every thing you need yes. it is 2500 for the base kit with a few changes such as blowthrough and a bov.

the kit is capable of making 300whp. and with your auto i would do some research to see how much it can handle then just stop there. i ran 220whp on the stock motor for over a year with no problems but i have a mtx75 not an auto.. i would guess somewhere around 200.

you will have to get a custom tune no matter what kit you get as well.

egbertrn i want the 175hp or higher to the wheel! ya i saw trannys go for atleast $3700. if i was to do that i would swap to manual for sure! how much people say that cost? next paycheck im puting on rousch stage 2 suspesion kit and then paycheck after that full exhaust, svt header swap w/ magnaflow. then i want the xc2 flasher and chip. does that seem like im going down the right path for power? or should i be doing something else?

No need to by the SVT header if you are going turbo. As far as exhaust I would go with a trubendz setup with a magnaflow. Thats what I have.

im going to do exhaust and suspension right away than next will be turbo, might take about 2-3 months to save up for turbo turtles setup though

seems like you have no idea what goes into turbo, if you want to waste money on a nice header then go turbo you may want to look into what a turbo really consists of

you really are waisting your money putting a small exhaust and especially a header on a car that you plan to turbo soon. a turbo bolts to the exhaust manifold.. you need to do a little research.. check out our FI stickies

you will get rid of your header, and you'll need a 2.5-3" exhaust (3" is best for f.i)

save up for the turbo first. I mean, get the suspension if you want but don't do anything to the engine besides turbo, then go from there.
