Yesterday my battery light illuminated and came on and off a bit. Upon turning off and then starting again the light did not illuminate again. Tonight the gauge cluster lit up and then i lost power to the gauges and then the lights dimmed and the car started running roughly. I was unable to start it after i limped it home not stopping etc. When i readjusted the battery terminal connections i got power back to the car and i was able to start it but then everything died again etc. I'm wondering if this is the alternator or a ground issue? I don't think it could be the actual battery given that it has no problem supplying juce to start but is there anyway it could be? I'm going to go mess with the terminals/check grounds in a little bit but I don't think thats going to help entirely. ideas?

I would pull the terminals off and chaeck for corrosion or to see if they are loose. Put a meter on the battery with the car running and make sure you are charging as well.

more than likely it's your alternator. Same thing happend to me. I was driving home from a g2g and I lost all power to the cluster, windows, locks ..... Got the car home and it died in the drivway. I let it sit for a minute and it started back up, but still ran like garbage and wanted to die.

Get a multimeter on the car while it's running. You should be somewhere around 14 - 14.5 volts at idle. It sounds like the car is just running off the battery and not getting a charge from the alternator.
