So because we're not using a booth there is a little dust getting in it. There's a little extra clear and it will all get sanded and polished. The orange peel and everything will eventually go away

So I go to my buddies house tonight and he had a surprise for me! He welded all the holes and smoothed off the doors! Now I don't have to put the door strips back on! I'm so stoked!

I have a short ram intake. but exhaust and a throttle body are high on my list.
I will be putting a basic pioneer head unit I have in it and an iPod adapter under the dash to store my music on. while the interior is out the speakers are getting changed. and probably a 12'' sub. but for now I really am focused on getting her back together for focus fest. I'm ordering new carpet this week. and I am trying to decide if I should go back grey or put black in so feel free to chime in on that. I eventually want to add more black to the interior. headliner and all the plastics surrounding it. basically everything on the outside that's black will be inside also.. I just don't know if black carpet and floor mats will look weird with the grey trim panels... [idea]

nightly update! so I got my new antenna base and got it all sanded down ready to paint, black to match the roof of coarse! front drivers fenders is jamb'd. I can bolt that on tomorrow night. and the hatch is all painted and ready to go back on. a coat of clear tomorrow night and that will be all jamb'd. for those who aren't familiar with the paint process you cant hardley paint everything at the same time. so you pre paint everything in the jambs and close the doors. You cover everything in the jambs and tape that off and spray the outside all at the same time. since the roof only touches blue in the jambs and on the doors we already have the roof finished. Robert got the spoiler blocked out then filled and blocked again. about another hour and that will be ready for primer.

so nightly update! Well I'm being kicked out of my "paint shop" for a week. I will resume the painting next saturday. I'll work on small parts for the week and get parts ready for next week. so here's what we got done tonight. front fender is mounted. hatch is reinstalled and the wiring is all ran. we chipped the clear in two little spots so that will need touched up. drivers side door and quarter are all sanded out and primed. one last pass over the primer to block it all out and the whole drivers side will be ready for paint. The fender and hatch have to be adjusted also. I pulled the radio bezel out, saned and primed that . It will be blue also.

Probably some day... I'm running out of time as it is if this thing is going to focus fest... this is one if those "let's just clean it up" projects that has already gotten out of hand! At some point we had to stop..

hello gys Robert 10502 is the gentleman in the pics with the spray gun in his hands. he is the one responsible for my focus looking so awesome. I told him I was going to put this all on the forum so he started watching the thread. now he has an account to get subscribed to it. he is currently driving a Saturn. but we'll get him converted!
