yes.....it is legal.

No it does not replace with new one, my trubendz came with a part to delete cat and one that would retain cat. I had mine welded on after the cat. It works fine for me and keeps her legal.

i had it on my 05 zx3 before i got rid of it for my truck. it was really nice. but it didnt fit perfect. needed alittle faness, and i orderd the stainless steele version and the pipe bender scratched the hell out of the pipes, oh well it was under the car. it was nice and loud, sorta rumble to it.... or a growl as some people have described it.
