So, i started my exhaust yesterday afternon

Trubendz 2.5 zx4 ST

the first difficult part was the rubber hangers!!
(my advice use a set of pliers to help push it out)

after that expect Rusted bolts!! (if you live somewhere like michigan)

Now i have heard many complaints about trubendz and i now understand why....

it is a very big pain in the a$$ when its not bent just right

And you WILL have to remove the rubber hanger over the rear axle...The hanger on the exhaust is too long, and unless you cut it you just have to work it over...It took me 2 hours of wrestling with that thing to get it over the axle....(may be easier with 2 people lol)

The second problem was with the rear hanger, the exhaust hung too high and was pushing up the bumper....

The Fix: cut the hanger off of the stock exhaust and weld it on in the new exhaust, or maybe a new hanger...

The install should only take one hour if you know what your doing!

i give trubendz:

A+ in looks sound and power

B- for fitment

B For service.

Though i am not fully pleased with the part it was not impossible for me (A rookie) to do, Also the look and sound of this exhaust cannot be beat... it cost 330 + 30 for shipping and it was well worth it... i do notice a bit of difference in power, but expect more from a header...

If anyone has any questions about install feel free to ask...

I had two people (BradWhite and myself) to install mine. I don't have an ST, but the two fitment issues we came across didn't have anything to do with the bends, but the hangers. The hanger that is over the rear axle was 1/4in too long (just cut that off) and the rear hanger was too low causing the tip to make contact with the rear bumper. We just cut off a hanger from the old set up and welded it onto the new for a perfect fit. I don't know if there's a difference with the bends from an ST compared to a SE, though.

Try this with your stock rubber hanger. Another thing that might work is to purchase an inexpensive universal hanger from your local auto parts store. Make sure you get one that has the leather strap in it. The strap will be 4-5 inches long with holes stamped into it at various intervals. Take the strap and cut it in half. Take a nut and bolt and fasten the two halves to the hanger with one half on each side of the hanger. You could get by with using just one half or putting both halves on the same side, just make sure that you put them on the side that the hanger will feed though. That should give you the extension you need so that the tip does not make contact with your bumper. I hope this helps.

and all i see is how great mbrp is with their service, over and over. whereas TB takes forever to get back to you, have issues filling orders, and then when u get it, the bends are wrong. sorry, but u need to do better if you want to earn my money. thats just me tho.

trubends was all quickly done for me... and yeah i think the design needs to be re-thought But as far as sound quality goes i think borla and trubendz would be pretty much split...

i did call mbrp and they got back to me within 1 hour, so i will agree that mbrp has good customer service

Here's a sound clip of my Magnaflow I posted a while ago. Magnaflow 2.5in SS with Hi-Flow cat from Trubendz. Still sounds great. That's my son, Dominic, doing the commentary. LOL. Just a reminder, mine's not an ST, though.
