My car is a 2003 Ford Focus LX. SPI, MTX. IB5 Transmission

I had the clutch changed and they filled the tranny with 90 weight. I told them that was wrong and they put synthetic Transmission fluid in it. When it had the 90 weight it was really bad in Gears 1, 3, 5. Now that they have put in the correct fluid it only does it when the engine is cold, like when i start it in the morning. But it is still constant in 5th gear, just quieter.

Now before I had the clutch changed it still did it in 5th gear. Any Ideas"???

Not really, have had this in both my focuses -00 1,6, ran for 220k miles b4 i sold it, and my present -04 1,6. The first one started to make this whine at 30k miles and it lasted until a gearoilchange at 150kmiles, my present also makes a slight whine om 5th at around 65mph uphill, guess i will try the replacing/refilling oil.

NOte... It also does this in neutral when you let out on the clutch.
