2002 focus zetec 5-speed zx3


When I accelerate it skips, in all gears excerpt 4th and 5th. How do I diagnose this transmission?

What does it take to remove transmission?

Drain the transmission and inspect for metal shavings or chunks, would be a start. So what you saying is it sounds like it grinds in those gears?

uhuhuh

Yeah.. almost as if your bicycle chain skips, or the chain on a dirtbike skips... the transfer of torque is unloaded, then it loads back up.. only when I give it a generous amount of throttle..

is there any splines or anything in there that can strip out?
