every once in a while, like twice a day, under even light acceleration my RPMs shoot up to around 6 almost as if it shifted into neutral. it mostly happens around 3rd but i havent paid enough attention to be sure. anyone know whats causing this? easy fix or is this a good time to throw down for a mtx?

I don't know a whole lot abotu ATX but it sounds like might be a valve body or modulator problem, but I know some tranny guru will post here and let you know.

well it got worse, started slamming into gears every time it changed so i brought it to a shop and they decided theyd try to con an extra dollar and say they think it might just need serviced. so they changed the fluids and stuff and now its running worse. any ideas or suggestions to help me along? where could i find a new MTX for sale or even another auto if it comes to that?
