I want to buy a set of rim for winter tires on my Focus 2011 ES. The mechanic told me I need to buy rims with 16 holes and TPMS.

I was told, for TPMS, it has to be programmed once it is installed.

What if I buy TPMS from ebay? do I still have to program it?

I bought mine for my st off ebay for my winters
shop charged me 45.00 to put the rubbers and tpms on the tires... no issues at all with mine...
i didnt buy the oem ones either. Mine cost 40.00 with free shipping

Can I remove TPMS from old rims and install on new rims on Ford Focus 2011? I am getting conflicting information. One mechanic told me I have to buy new TPMS since once old one unplugged from old rim, it won't work any more. The other mechanic said that is not an issue. I think it might depend on makers.

Yes, it can depend on style & makers.

Most common now is stem mounted, and replacing the seals is necessary to ensure they don't leak.
