Update Wednesday May 4, 2016

U.S. auto-safety regulators confirmed Wednesday May 4, 2016 that they are ordering the recall of 35 million to 40 million additional air bag inflators manufactured by Japanese supplier Takata, whose defective parts have been linked to at least 11 deaths.

Takata air bag recall now largest in American history

The Focus is not included in this recall but many families own more than one vehicle so please make sure none of your cars are impacted by this.

Sorry Bud, that link just goes to an order form for USA Today right now.

Saw the TV news on that, they claimed that all manufactured with the same propellant were now included on the list.

That could end up affecting other manufacturers, not so sure Takata was the only one to ever use that formula from prev. reading.

Got the airbag in our Honda van replaced. Of course the guy did a crappy job since it's recall work. I had to realign my own steering colum cover since they didn't take the time to properly put it back together. Guess I can't complain since they did replace the air bag on a 2004 van lol

They're like bombs waiting to explode

millions of car owners are forced to nervously wait for someone to fix a problem blamed for at least 16 grisly deaths worldwide, 11 of them in the United States. Many owners have been put on waiting lists by their dealers until the parts arrive.
