So I'm currently working on putting together a custom supercharger setup on my Zetec. I've been thinking on doing a blow-through setup where the supercharger (positive displacement) is in front of the TB. This is done with turbos and centrifugal superchargers, so it should work with a roots style supercharger right?

So you're doing ITB and a Roots?

As long as there is some type of pressure relief/bypass valve, I don't see an issue.



If I misunderstand and you're using a single TB and Roots, rethink you're idea.

Yeah I was going to have a bypass valve between the TB and the supercharger, but I'm not sure what an individual throttle body is.

"ITB's" are when each cyl. has it's own throttle plate.

Similar to most motorcycles (in fact cycle intakes are sometimes used) except for pricey unusual ones like a Cosworth setup with a rotating throttle barrel for all four separate intake tracts instead of throttle plates. That one's cool in that each intake is wide open with no restriction at full throttle.

Oh okay gotcha. So as long as I have a bypass valve I should be fine right?
