you can definitely make your motor go BOOM without using nitrous properly.
what you should do is do a seach under the user name squillyB, he knows his nitrous and any posts/threads he put up would be informative
generally on a stock motor stick to a 50shot. there is a host of security devices that you can use to prevent anything from breaking (throttle position switch for running only at WOT, a window switch so you stop spraying before you hit the rev limiter)
thats all i can really help you with.... but like i said squillyB= nitrous dude, look him up

^ that was funny [histerical] , but yeah i agree..... well my husband had nitrous for two years and basically he started off with 50, then 75, and then 100 at the end ..... he wanted more and more until now that he changed to turbo and the only thing that i would tell you that happened to him while he had nitrous was 1.stock clutch went bad (of course) and 2.stock intake manifold cracked and it wasan't even while racing he had the switch by the clutch and he turned on the nitrous by mistake and he thought the car had something because the car was acting weird and then he reved. it down and it backed fired and that was the end of his intake manifold .... but other than that he was fine for 2 years... the only advice that i would say is just to do it with a professional properly and you'll be fine.

X2 what focusracing said. I run a 65 shot with a good tune, good plugs, and proper safety equipment running the spray, and its perfectly fine. If you do like 1turbofocus, its no more dangerous than a turbo or supercharger.
