Ok I read other posts about thermostat housing leaking,oil from vavle cover causing o rings to break down.So this is where I'm at ,I replaced the housing that connects to the block,N/P.switched thermostat to old housing and mated them together.Still leaks[smackbum] .Now I'am assuming you place thermostat in the housing than new gasket than cover right?Then screw it all together.It still leaks "F Bomb".Are the two pieces of housing suppose to screw flush together? or is there suppose to be a gap?
It seems like a no brainer,I've had it apart about five times now.

how many screws are there to hold it down? if there is 3 or more make sure you tighten each a little at a time, you should do that even if you have 2 screws, you dont want to tighten up one side cause the other may not go down as far.
