Hello, I have a 2001 Ford Focus and the fan relay failed which caused my fan to quit and caused my car to overheat. My mechanic is looking for the temperature sensors on the motor but can't find them. Where are they located on the motor ? Thanks so much

The Focus uses a Cyl. head temp. sensor INSTEAD of the traditional water temp. sensor....

Assuming it's a Zetec, IIRC, it's at the back of the cylinder head (passenger side) by the alternator. As sailor pointed out, it's a CHT sensor that not in direct contact with the coolant.
