What a pain in the butt. After prying open the plastic housing for the blower located behind the glovebox and only just being able to peak inside at the fan I realised the entire unit did indeed have a bolt going through the firewall from the engine compartment. Any postings I had read either said that was not the case or made no mention of such. Anyway, enough bellyaching... My fan has a ticking sound as if something is slapping it as it spins. After closer inspection this does not seem to be the case. Was a metal staple pressed to one of the fins. I think maybe to keep unit in balance? Could it be it has a slight wobble and possibly the bearing is beginning to go? Also anyone know how to remove this plastic housing completely. (without the fight) [
