HI,

I tried the search and nothing came up...so here goes my question.

I want more bass output. I have an 2002 SVT with the stock audiophile system.

Ideally what I want to do is keep the stock look. I want to replace the current 8'' sub with either something bigger like a 10'' or an 8'' sub that is louder and more powerful without replacing my current amp. I want just to replace the sub and have better quality and louder bass...

Is this possible or do I have to replace the current amp...what do i have to look at when doing such an upgrade...

u will have to replace the factory amp to get better bass........because the factory amp is only 100 or 200 watts maybe and the more watts the amp the louder the the thump, just remember not to put bigger amp watt to smaller sub watt cause you will blow the sub if put to high.[]

how much more bass are you wanting? a 10 would do more than an eight. will handle more wattage and have more of a selection to choose from.

I just changed my sub...i got a Soundstream 8 inch...and took all the cotton out of the box...i think it sounds better.
