I am in the process of changing the pads on my back brakes, I have already completed one side and am now trying to do the second. The problem is that this brake piston keeps spinning around when I try to rotate it inward but is not depressing any. I have tried everything, does anyone know what to do? thanks

i used a piston compressor, and it worked. took a while though. try taking the cap off the brake resevoir. there is nothing wrong the piston turning. you just have to make sure it is right side up when you reinstall the pads.

It must be turned and compressed at the same time.

indeed, the tool from auto zone has some niples and that makes it turn, and push at the same time`
