I have come across a used Magnaflow catback exhaust system from an SVT ZX3 that's for sale.

Will it be a direct bolt on for a ZX5?

Just want to know if it can be done with little to no modifications.

Oh, and I did three different searches, and didn't come up with any real definitive answers.

it will fit, should be no mods required.

You will have to likely slot the holes in the flange that mount to the flex pipe flange.

People who have a CAT back on the regular focus and upgrade to the SVT header/CAT/Flex dont have to get a new CAT back also they only have to widen the slots on the flange. so my guess is that you will need to drill holes closer into the pipe to mate with the standard Zetec flex pipe.
