hello

are the svt mach's plug and play with a 2000 focus? i have regular headlights. or is there other things i need to get them to work. im asking because i found a really good deal on new ones.

Your going to need a wiring harness that fits them.

I know you can go through VW and get them but otherwise that is it. The wiring harness will be needed to get them to work in your car.

I got the connectors via VW, the rest can be found on a focus Canadian thread, the rest is just wiring.

Volkswagon-Since Ford had little or no experience with making HID's, I think only in a few Licolns, they "borrowed" parts from Volkswagon for the Mach/SVT HID's. I know on the balasts under my headlights it says "made in germany"

The ballasts are attached to the bottom of the head light. You will have to make the VW harness and do some wire splicing. Here's a link to a website that will tell you step-by-step what you need to do. The prices for supplies are probably out of date, but the info is still the same:

just the harnesses. You'll have to cut the connector off of your car's wiring harness, and splice the VW harness into your car (high beams, low beams, ground....and if you want the blinker and city/running lights in the MACH housing to work you'll have to cut the plug off at your grill and run the middle wire over(city/parking lights...the one that turns on when you turn your lights on) and the ones on the outside are a ground and the blinker (just leave the ground there, there's already a ground from the headlight wiring) and slpice the one that's not a ground into the VW harness so your blinvker works. Here's a diagram for wiring colors and what spot they correspond to on the VW harness (this was for my ST170s and I think it'll be the same on MACHs....don't see why they'd be different)

The best HID stuff Orasm and phillips comes from there period.

That diagram will help your going to need a few parts to build it and some time. After which it will be worth it

That is correct thhat because it says made in germany, it doesn't have to be from VW, but I know that the headlight wiring and balasts were purchased from VW by ford,

Still they are phillips and can be used with anything if installed correct. []
