Anyone else have this happening? I inherited my wife's daily driver when she got a family car so I am still learning the ins and outs of this car but our passenger fog light keeps breaking.

Not sure if it was just my wife's commute or if it is inherent of the design or something our less than competent FORD service department disconnected some support when servicing.

any thoughts?

what do you mean by

"Breaking"

bulbs go out?

lenses crack. We have been through at least 3 on the passenger side. Just seem to shatter the lens. The bulb works for awhile then we lose the bulb too.

I suspect it is from crap kickup up on my wife's commute but before i replace it wanted to make sure that there isn't some inherent flaw in the support or something.

I've heard of this problem....it's caused by bottoming out and/or flying debris I'm pretty sure, but I've had my car for almost two years and haven't broken one yet....knock on wood lol

Bottoming eh? I guess my wife drove more aggressively than she let on to me! Good thing she is in a subaru now. She can bottom it our until her hearts content (i kid though probably just debris)

Any aftermarket lamp protection available that anyone knows of? Those things get expensive.

you should get some lamin-x. it should protect them much better from road debris

or there is a thread on here somewhere to get some plexiglass that fits between the mounting bracket and the bumper and protects it way better than laminx
