In the small town i live in there is an abundance of Z71's with straight pipes and lift kits. I'm running into an issue with people wanting to swerve into me a lot. Wife was side swiped twice in her Escort. I never had this problem in my Mustang. I came to the conclusion that they just can't hear me.

My 03 SVt has 4 pieces, i can't find a real straight answer. I have a CAT, long tubular muffler, then square muffler then lunchbox. I removed lunchbox and like the sound but i want it louder. What can i do to keep it deep and go louder without buying a $500 catback system. I will run a cherry bomb if it does what i want i don't care.

well u can do alot of thing u can leave the "CAT" and just run straight 2.5 in pipe and buy a muffler from ebay or do wat i did just put a flowmaster 40 series (u still leave the CAT cause if u dont then it will be loud) and just run a pipe from there to the end then u can buy a tailpipe so it would look ok.. mine sounds awesome especially on low rpms.. not really 2 loud like some of out there if u know wat i mean... i like it! it sounds deep! some people might think is crazy puttin a flowmaster on a 4 cyl. but it all depends on you! i had one of them fat muffler that dey sell on ebay before the flowmaster but it was too loud... i like the 40 series better

Yeah I was planning on leaving the cat either way. I know how to get it loud but I wanted to keep it deep as I could. I bet with a flowmaster it does sound pretty good. The closer to a V8 sound the better for me.

run straight pipe from the header and bend it out the side. if people cant hear that then get a HUGE sticker that says "I carry a gun!"
