I'm gonna look at a rear bumper that came off a 2003 SVT. Will this bolt up to my 2005 ZX3? The person also has a front bumper, could I use that too? Does the SVT rear bumper sit lower than the stock 05 ZX3 bumper? I ask because I have a trailer hitch mounted to the car and am hoping this might cover it up.

I've never taken the rear bumper off the car, what's involved to remove an 05 bumper?

THANKS!

Also, if anyone lives in South FL and needs a black SVT front bumper, let me know. I'll be looking at them both tomorrow and could purchase it if needed.

What about the SVT side skirts and front lip, I believe the seller has those too.

Can you be more descriptive by what needs to be removed with the hook tool? I would imagine the bumper is held on with a bunch of bolts that go into the chassis, like most cars. Someone who has removed their rear bumper before would be very helpful for this thread.

Thanks.

I don't think I'm gonna buy the front bumper, seems pretty beat and won't fit on my car without a front end swap. The seller said she has SVT side skirts from her 03 SVT, would those fit my car as well? I believe my car doesn't have any side skirts and my buddy said the SVT skirts fit over the rocker panel area with tape and maybe a bolt or two.

Does the bumper sit lower than the stock bumper? Currently my trailer hitch sits well below the rear bumper, I'm hoping the diffuser will cover it up some.

Got the bumper on last night, def wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. I was unable to re-use a few of the plastic clips because they wouldn't stay in the holes even after putting the plastic screw through the middle. I was able to JUST BARELY get the stud on the passenger side through the hole in the frame, took allot of "persuasion." I was unable to put the supports on the bottom of the bumper back into the frame so I zip-tied them to my trailer hitch. The thread was correct, I had to trim the honey-comb piece in order for it to clear the hitch, basically had to remove the solid bottom lip portion and it was all good.

Phew, glad this thing is on, now who wants my stock bumper?
