I just recently had all four sets of brake pads and rotors changed on my '03 SVT, and everything was great until I went out of town for 4 weeks and came back. While sitting at a traffic light at one point in time, i rolled backwards a bit with the brakes applied and the most horrible squealing noise you could ever imagine came from one of the wheel wells. Is this a major problem or is it just because the brake pads are, for the most part, still new? Any help would be appreciated.

you probably had some surface rust on your rotors after it sitting for so long..

Drive it for a few days and it should polish off that rust. I doubt there would be any permanent damage

Mine does that too, roll backwards and a light application of the brakes and it's an ungodly banshee shriek!

Always done it too, it's kinda fun.
