hey guys, its been a while since ive posted on here and i recently ran acrosse something while foraging on ebay.

--->quick update, for those of you involved, the hps is getting better by the day (i didnt remove the battery cable, so i think the ecu finally figured it out) and if anyone has a question let me know

anyway, i typed in "focus turbo" just to fantasize about getting one for cheap. in the results, however, are A TON of these "superchargers" which they are calling "electric superchargers". ill post the link at the bottom, but many of you probably know what it is already. anyway, its basically a turbo-like device that is designed to force air into your intake via electric motor/electricity from your battery. they claim that it helps get more air into the intake system but was wondering about everyone's opinion. worth it? not too expensive... does anyone know what the (must be minimal) gains could be? [???]

IMO it pretty much looks like a CAI or SRI with a fan on it blowing the air faster into the intake. So not a turbo or anywhere close but it could be a good buy. Only 30 bucks. But you never know just be careful.

hahaha, i like how they claim like 284 hp on that zetec....and then go on to say that the intake offers 2-3 psi of boost. thats so much bull haha

X2 I thought that this dude was going to get hella flamed...but, not so much I guess. I would save your money and buy something else or use the 30bucks on gas it will be more worth while.

yeah....these babies have been discussed, um....thoroughly on here, and are not quite on the top list of mods.

i know one site did a review on an explorer, and it LOST power/mpg.

Okay those "electric supercharger" are one of the cheapest things out there. The hurt your airflow more than anything. Plus they're plastic. If those blades break it could result in engine damage. I would save of for a REAL turbo or if they ever made a supercharger for the Dtec.
