Yes, you need a Hi/Low adapter also called an LLC ($5-$10). This taps into your speaker wire and produces a low voltage RCA output. Not much for sound quality but it is the cheapest way to get the job done. Next option is the processor from Rockford fosgate ($120 and I bet AlaskanZX5 will chime in here at some point to elaborate on this part) or a JL clean sweep ($$$left nut & leg). From there you run your amp wires the same way. Catch the remote turn on for the amp from the fuse box or from the switch behind the radio.
