Does anyone know why I am having trouble finding any parts stores that stock an air filter for my 05 Focus ST, or any store that is even able to order one for that matter? Any help is much appreciated.

if i'm not mistaking, you have the whole air filter box thing (the biggest design flaw ever!!!) and you will have to order it through the dealership. At least that's what i had to do.

CAUTION: BE READY TO PAY A SHIZ TON FOR IT!!!

For about the same money you can upgrade to a CAI (cold air intake) or SRI (short ram intake) Use search to find all the threads on this subject.

Anyway like the others said that air box assy is a major PITA, My brother has a 2.3 Dura and he just replaced it all with a CAI, I think it helped power and fuel economy!

Because the 2005 Focus has a "Lifetime" filter which uses new technology, and only needs to be replaced every 100,000 to 150,000 miles.
