I am finally (after a bazillion other projects, some audio related, most not) getting around to installing stuff into the focus.

Among other things I cut out 1/2" baffles for the doors.

I test fit the baffle and speaker in the drivers side door, fits with a little finaggling.

I test fit the baffle and speaker in passenger side door, looks like I'm going to have to cut some of the door to make it fit.

The door interferes with the basket (even with the 1/2" baffle).

I did not have enough time to look last night before it got dark, has anyone fit a 3/4" baffle in the doors?

If I can fit a 3/4" baffle, I probably won't have to cut the door to fit the basket.

2 or 3 layers of sound dampener will help give you a little more clearance and with resonance as well

I use 3/4" MDF to put my 6.5" JL Components, no interference at all.

I ended up beveling the baffle a little to allow it to shift right on a ridge in the door (this centered it more over the cutout).

Using a few layers of deadening gave the extra clearance to fit.

It definitely looks like I could have gotten away with using 3/4" MDF after re-mounting the door panel.

the newer Foci must have a little more clearance, the 2001 wagon I had didn't have enough room for 3/4"

most of surface had room, but not at the point where the grille sloped back
