Ok here is one for you guys....
For 2 days in a row now after my car has been sitting. When I go to start her up she seams like she doesnt want to turn over but only for a sec. And then once she does fire up the radio completely resets. The first time this happened the tack needle was flicking like crazy for a sec.
This is all stock by the way.

Like I said strange hua.
So has anyone come accross something like this before?

Check the connectiong one time i came out to my car and all my lights on my dash were on really dim and the car wouldent even turn over. i took off the negative and put it back on and for some reason it reset everything and it was good. and if your sayign the radio looses its presets than its prolly a loose wire cause thats mostly the only time a radio looses its presets

ya you mite have to look behind the cd player and see if every tohing is hooked up right. but then again if you negitive wire resets then you radio will loose the persetes too.

Thanks all for the replyz
well it looks like i gotta check my battery before i do anything lol

Yeah it has me going nuts lol
The radio actually doesnt loose the presets but the clock resets each time and the CD player does that Initalizing thing.
Also at start up the tach and other indicators are taking 2 seconds to respond. But once they do its fine.

The wife had to take my car to work tonight cause her Rav has a clogged cat.
So I'll have to give the Battery a close look when she gets home tonight.

Again thanks for the responces at least now I have a place to start!![thumb]

well after checking the battery connections I was forced to take it in to have it checked out along with a airbag light that will not turn off. Hopefully its covered under the warrantee!

Cause the wife and I have to drop $3,200 on a new transmition for the rav Looks like the ECM went and when it did it destroyed the trans in the process. I think that we will have to go after Toyota Corp. Cause its a problem they have known about for two years but never sent out a recall. The only thing that Yota was willing to do was to replace the ECM but not the trans. If the ECM had not gotten F-ed up than the trans would never gotten broken. We will be filing a complain with the state att. generals office shortly. Cause toyota knew about the problem and now are making thousands off of people by forcing them into buying new transmitions.

This furthers my dislike for toyota. that and the fack that now I am stuck driving a Toyota crap-ola while my car is in the shop. I CAN NOT wait to get my ST back!!!

well I got my ST back the other day and all is good. I am so happy to not be driving that corola around!

So dealer said that I must have just gotten a bum battery. The alternator checked out fine and all the wires were nice and tight. As far as the airbag light, they said they didnt really see what happened with that. The bag sensors looked fine and tested fine. They reset the code and its been good so far.
