I have a second set of wheels and tires I purchased used. The tires were dismounted to have the wheels powdercoated. I would like to use up more tread on the stock tires that are currently on the car before swapping to the new set. What should I use to wrap the tires because the garbage bags I've tried already are too small to fit over the tires. Maybe industrial size garbage bags?

Talk to a local Discount Tire store, they have tire bags that they use to wrap tires/rims up that you are keeping but not having mounted on the car. They can probably sell you a few if not even give some to you.

I would just get some stretch wrap (used for wrapping pallets and such).

Or just let them be, assuming they're in a garage or something.

The main things are no water, no sunlight, and no ozone.
If you can avoid all three without wrapping them, then no problem.
Any storage locker which is dry and not any electrical stuff around is fine, with no wrapping.
IMO wrapping is no good espcially if water can get in. Once they are wet, and wrapped.. mold will grow, Period. So if they might get accidentally wet, better NOT wrapped than wrapped.
You can save them for well over a year, not wrapped and it will make no difference.
(coating the sidewalls with tire shine might make them last better....)
