Was wondering how simple it would be to use the stock zetec head from my ZX3 and mount it to my SVT? Can I still use the thicker SVT gasket and SVT Intake? I'm sure it bolts right on, but I imagine the ecu would need to be tuned so it's not searching for vct. I understand a the compression would be a little different, so what would the change in Hp be? Has anyone tried this and been successful?

The SVT intake bolts up but the runners dong line up properly , you would see a loss in performance to put the ZX3 head on the SVT

How much of a loss are we talking? Reason I'm asking is cause my svt has a bad head, and I have the zx3 just lying around. It's my daily driver so I'm not tooo concerned with a little loss.

Dont do it , you will have to have a tune for the VCT CEL , thats 429 + shipping , it will be down a good bit on power , then you will want to change it back later and be out all the cost of putting the wrong one on

just buy a SVT head , there is some in the for sale section and I have some

Wouldn't it be around a 20-25 hp loss at the flywheel? That's pretty significant.
