Hai, so I've been checking out this website for many different reasons so I decided to join. My ? currently is wat are some Basic Beginning Modifications that would be good exterior wise as well as engine. It currently has SRI but rest of engine is stock. As for body mods I have back windows 5% tinted of course going to b tinting fronts 20% and have some JDM Side Mirrors with white/blue leds on sides for blinkers. Will put picks up as soon as I take them and install Side mirrors.

First off like to say Welcome!

Well there are a number of things you can do to the exterior of your car. Anywhere from body kit to wheels. Just look around and you will find something that catches your eyes and next thing you know you just keep on going buying stuff.

As for engine i think you meant to say SPI. There isn't too much out there for those but if you look hard enough you will find some stuff. There is a guy on here that has done a number of stuff to his SPI. Hope any of that helps.

Nah SRI like Short Ram Intake. . . I realize there are many mods but engine wise what are some decent mods that could give the car more than 2 hp? ha ha jus jokes i jus say that cuz i drive a 94 Mustang Convert as well. But soon i'll be putting on a magna flow jus to help a little, but those r pretty much the 2 most basic mods to begin with.

You ain't gotta lie to kick it.....you're right, 2-3 hp. lol

Look into an SCTII tuner (especially if you have an ATX). It's a little costly, but honestly I wouldn't go much further than that, a header-exhaust and intake. The rest are just if you have money and love working on cars. That's my opinion.

if you think about it, there is only so much you can do to each area of your car.

- the exterior - makes me think of paint, body kits, headlights/side markers/tails/ect, wheels(you see those too)front lips, wings....

- interior - seats, gauges, shifters, uplustery(sp?), audio/video, ect....

- engine - how much do you want to spend? if you do the intake, exhaust, and get a ecu flasher, you will notice a big improvement over factory. more than that costs $$$$$

- suspension - there are a lot of good kits out there. how good do want to handle, and how much do you want to spend...


you get the idea... come up w/ a plan as to what you want to accomplish and go from there. good luck, and welcome!

mods for a white SPI no problem, if you have any questions about these mods PM me i have no problem giving advice if you want it.

engine bay you nees to drop the breather hose and get a breather filter and clean up your bay.

I added this mirrors and painted to match you can paint just your caps

i painted some interior panels like most of us and i bought a use cluster with a tach off ebay

most recently added eyelids on the headlights

Appreciate alla tha input from every1. . . ? Wat is an ECU Flasher n wat would it do? N I wana get a front lip for tha fender, but dont know where to get just the lip. . . Is there any place that make glow guages but instead of how many have blue after glow digits n stuff i would want red. . . I plan to be getting some coilover springs as soon as i get paid this weekend as well. . .

An ECU flasher is something you can use to reflash or retune a car's ECU. You can play with different things like timing, fuel trim, air/fuel ratio and so forth. I would suggest getting someone to tune it for you. You can really mess a car up if you don't know what you're doing.

Anything a car can change a focus can do. Depends on your level of skill to call it a beginner mod vs a more advanced. Also depends if you want looks or speed.

All the ones listed are good. Have to say you got shafted with a SPI in your SE. I had a ATX 2000 SE with the Zetec.

yeah tha SPI isn't too great, but still its an engine right. . . prob a little of both. . . working on the looks more than speed for now tho because I realize the Focus isn't a speed racer or anything. . . like if the thread was for my mustang it would be a whole different story because it would be all about go n nothin about show. . . but as for "look" modifications I have the tint which is an "of course" mod and the intake is a little look as well as speed. . . not much speed more looks but yeah.

nah i wanna keep wats black. . . black. . . like i plan to have a body kit w/black lip n tha JDM side mirrors black n windows black n stuff w/ red accents somehow. . .

on other notes. . . bad news. . . was trying to place passenger headlight to aim low instead of in tha sky and found out the spinning pieces r broke. . . so only way to get the beam lower is to buy a new headlight. . .

ebay has JDM ones for about 20 look just like OEM i have one and you cant tell the diff
