alright, im wondering if anyone made a sri heat shield out of a stock airbox? coz it seems like the filter is sitting right on top of where the stock air box goes?

i think most people make them from sheet metal

ya i know, but wouldn't it be pretty much the same? coz i mean is stock.. and it shouldn't get that hot or let hot air in if you know what i mean + is so much easier, just to cut a whole for an intake pipe and cut the top of the box to let cold air in and keep that nosle thing coming from the upper grill..

with cutting the top you need to get some stripping that will seal it to the hooh or hot air will still get in
